Did his schooling from Little Flower School, Kohima; Don Bosco School, Kohima; and Sainik School Imphal. Thereafter did his Pre-University (Science) from St. Edmunds College, Shillong and B.Com from Baptist College, Kohima under Nagaland University.
Pursued his LLB Degree from Campus Law Centre under Delhi University and enrolled as an Advocate under the Bar Council of Delhi in 2001 and practiced in the Delhi High Court and the Subordinate Criminal and Civil Courts. In 2003, he started his practice at Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench.
Sat for the Nagaland Judicial Service Exam 2004-05 through NPSC and stood first in the order of merit and was appointed as JMSC and was first posted at Kiphire. He served as the Chief Judicial Magistrate in three Districts – Kohima, Dimapur, and Mon.
Promoted to Grade-I in 2018 and served as District & Sessions Judge, Mon; Principal District & Sessions Judge, Kohima (February,2021 – September, 2021); and Principal District & Sessions Judge, Dimapur since October, 2021.
He is the Special Judge of NDPS, CBI, NIA, ED and PML. He is also in charge of MACT, Consumer and Succession. He is also presently looking after the Sessions Division and Special Judge of NDPS and POCSO of three other districts – Peren, Niuland and Chumukedima. He is also the Chairperson of Dimapur District Legal Services Authority and Peren District Legal Services Authority.
